20th Anniversary Celebration
May 21, 2016 Chicago
It was a night of masks, music and memories. White Sox announcer Jason Benetti served as the master of ceremonies regaling us with hysterical and insightful stories from his life. A multi-media, 20 year respective got top billing that night, but it was entertainers Amy Armstrong and Freddy Allen who had everyone singing and dancing until the last bell. Another major highlight of the evening was Commissioner Karen Tamley proudly presenting a proclamation from Chicago Mayor Emanuel to Artistic Director and Co-Founder Tekki Lomnicki declaring May 21st – the day of our 20th Anniversary celebration – as Tellin’ Tales Theatre Day in Chicago. What an honor!
Through the generosity of sponsors, in-kind donors, accommodating vendors and hard-working volunteers, the 20th Anniversary Celebration exceeded the organization’s goals while also attracting a number of new, key VIP ambassadors. Our thanks to everyone who attended and supported the event!
The 2017 annual gala will return to Roosevelt University on a Saturday evening in May next year (TBD).
